Beginner Rock Star Lessons

Helena Intermediate School:

Tuesday’s from 3:00 to 4:00 pm

Monday’s & Wednesdays

from 3:00 to 4:00 pm

 

During weekly lessons your beginning rock star will:

 

  • Learn new songs on the guitar that they can play for their friends and family
  • Make new friends
  • Learn basic guitar skills
  • Play games to help with the learning
  • Have so much fun!

  • Class size is limited.
  • Students must be registered with community ed.
  • 1-Time Materials Fee of $50 covers a capo, picks, a tuner, & Class Materials.

 

I’m Jeanette Mihalchik, your teacher and guide for Guitar 4 Kids.  I’ve been teaching kids to play the guitar for over 25 years!

I’m an elementary school music teacher so I’ve got plenty of experience teaching kiddos in this age group, and I LOVE watching my students learn new songs and have fun together.

I’ve been playing the guitar for 50 years, and I’m excited to pass on my expertise to your child.

  • Will my child need a guitar?   Your child will need a guitar for lessons.

 

  • What kind of guitar will my child need?  An acoustic or electric guitar both work.  The most important thing is that you make sure it’s the right size so your child will feel comfortable playing it.

 

  • Does my child need to know how to play the guitar?  No.  These lessons are meant for beginner to intermediate level.

 

  • What if my child already plays the guitar?  That’s okay too.  These lessons are meant for beginner to intermediate levels.

 

  • Will my child be required to practice?   This is an experience for your child to see if they enjoy playing the guitar.  I will encourage practice, but it is not required for students to make progress.

 

  • Where are the lessons?  Lessons will be held at Helena Intermediate School & Thompson Intermediate School.

 

  • What will my child need to come to lessons? A guitar and a positive attitude.  Picks, class materials, a tuner, and a capo are included with the materials fee.  Materials will not be ordered until your materials fee is paid. Materials fee can be paid by Venmo (@Jeanette-Mihalchik) or in cash at the first class.
